Snow Emergency Declaration

In accordance of Ordinance 91-0-11and amended by Ordinance 93-0-4. Newtown Township has issued a snow emergency declaration until 12:00am on Saturday, January 20th, 2024.

 

Under this emergency, "It shall be unlawful to park, or allowed to be parked, any motor vehicle on any road or street within the Township following deposit or accumulation of ice or snow of one (1) inch or greater, in depth, until the snow has been completely plowed for the full width of the cartway." 

 

Dependent upon conditions, this snow emergency may be extended.

 

As such, all vehicles within Newtown Grant must be removed from roads.  Vehicles are to be parked either in the driveway or you may park them at the upper parking lot in the recreation area by the softball field.  

 

Additionally, "all unit owners have 24 hours from when the storm has ended to clear any sidewalks that abut to your property, whether they located in the front, side or rear of your property."
