June 9, 2020. Attention Newtown Grant Residents:
The Board and Management have completed and submitted an Operations and Maintenance Plan (Plan) prepared in accordance with the Bucks County Department of Health’s (BCDH) requirements for opening our pool. We are happy to report that our Plan was approved by the BCDH today.
We are happy to announce that the pool will be opening this summer (see below).
We are awaiting confirmation of a pool opening date, which is dependent on lifeguard staffing by American Pool. Lifeguard certifications were delayed due to State office closures during the “Red” phase and requirements that precluded “in the water” lifeguard training.
Detailed information on how and when to update your pool passes will be coming later this week. You will be required to have an updated pool pass to enter the pool. This supersedes the prior plan we had previously published for pool access. Please keep an eye on your email blasts from Management.
Each adult will be required to sign a waiver of liability as part of the pool pass validation process for themselves and for their minor children which holds harmless all parties involved (the Association, Board, FirstService, American Pool, TW Maintenance). Parents will sign for minor children.
Allowed occupancy of the pool will be severely restricted (68 in the main pool and 9 in the baby pool) in accordance with BCDH guidelines. If this changes when Bucks County transitions to the Green phase we will modify accordingly. Obviously, a plan will need to be established that gives everyone an opportunity to have time at the pool.
Due to stringent cleaning and sanitizing requirements all pool furniture will be removed from the pool deck and grassy areas. Residents are welcome to bring their own chairs & blankets. If this changes when Bucks County transitions to the Green phase we will modify accordingly.
Pool hours will be reduced to eight (8) hours a day. Again, if this changes when Bucks County transitions to the Green phase we will modify accordingly.
A janitorial service will be hired (full-time) to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the bathrooms and all high touch surfaces around the pool.
